Description

We are looking for an experienced paediatric physiotherapist with excellent clinical and communication skills. This established role will be based in our Winchester and Liss clinics, working with paediatric outpatients and managing a community based caseload, including children with complex needs.

Responsibilities:-

  • Demonstrate a high standard of assessment, clinical skills and knowledge, including postural management, specialist handling techniques, exercise progression and hydrotherapy.
  • Create and provide one-to-one and group physiotherapy intervention to patients with acquired physical and learning impairments, using a comprehensive knowledge of evidence-informed practice and treatment options.
  • Work autonomously and professionally within the community setting, seeking support when required if outside of pre-arranged supervision.
  • Practice safely within the legal and ethical boundaries of the profession.
  • Communicate effectively with the child, young person and their family to understand their expectations and develop patient centred goals.
  • Evaluate patients’ progress using published outcome measures.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate clinical notes using site-specific software and local procedures.
  • Write high quality clinical reports and provide recommendations in clinical provision, such as for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and for case managed clients.
  • Work well within a interdisciplinary team, communicating with a wide range of clients, families, case managers, educational and health professionals.
  • Attend and contribute to multi professional and family meetings, such as annual reviews, both face-to-face and via video link.
  • Liaise regularly with MDT and wider care team
