Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic ODP to join our team, who are keen to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a theatre environment.

Duties of the job:

  • Communicate and develop a good professional working relationship with clinicians and all grades of staff within the department and other areas to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Recognise the need and take responsibility for own continuing professional development (CPD).
  • The post holder will be responsible for the daily management and delivery of safe, individual patient care, within a professional multi-disciplinary team.
  • The post holder will be flexible, multi skilled and continue to gain further knowledge and skills in order to practice competently in elective and acute surgery.
  • They will provide ongoing education, appropriate training opportunities and mentorship duties.
  • The post holder will work with the team to facilitate new developments and positive change in the clinical environment, based on current evidence and research.
  • We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, professional and works well individually and within a team.

Role Requirements:

  • HCPC Registered/Anaesthetic Practitioner
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work within a team and work independently as required
  • Experience in a theatre environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards in a surgical environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • A good standard of computer literacy
  • The ability to time-manage
