Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Band 7 Nurse leader with experience in Pre-Operative Assessment, to join our well-established Nursing Team.

Key Role Duties:

As the manager, you will be expected to provide the assurance for the effective clinical leadership of the service, ensuring that the nursing teams deliver safe, high quality patient care, by delivering on our leadership strategy
To manage staff and resources to ensure that high quality, effective, individualised care is provided to all patients by assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating them without supervision.
Always provide expert professional and clinical leadership and work in line with your NMC Code of Conduct.
To be responsible for the standards of the clinical care delivered.
To provide expert knowledge to the nursing workforce and the wider MDT.
To ensure the care meets clinical effectiveness and audit standards.
Evaluate key performance and quality indicators and to use the results to inform service and quality improvements projects.
Work collaboratively across organisational boundaries
Work clinically where appropriate support staff, patients and their families
Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI
Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights
