An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation and Recovery Services.

Main duties of the job:

• The post holder will have the responsibility for leading and defining a vocational approach and assessment of occupational needs. Providing a significant level of clinical practice development, the role will include clinical need and demand assessments, interventions, and signposting to appropriate providers.
• The post holder will provide an occupational therapy perspective to service development and support, supervision and maintain links with the Trusts AHP Leadership for therapy staff under HCPC registration.
• The post holder will work in a way that promotes positive partnership working between all members of the Rehabilitation & Recovery Service and its partners. They will have an excellent understanding of the principles of recovery and will practice clinically in a way that promotes therapeutic optimism and hope with service users.
• The post has a pivotal role in providing an occupational therapy perspective to the delivery of clinical care within the rehabilitation and recovery pathway and increasing provision, capacity & understanding of ongoing rehabilitation needs in the community.
• The senior OT will also provide supervision, leadership, and workload management to the OT team across the Rehabilitation and Recovery Services. They will develop practice standards to influence the shape of future provision.
