We are currently looking for a Area Manager to join our team. Task & Duties: 1. Supervision • The Manager will be responsible for all the staff supervision and appraisals. 2. Workload · The Manager will take an active role in the planning, promotion, marketing and development of the Company, and in the development of Company policies and procedures relating to the home. · The Manager will be responsible for building a good working relation with Team Leaders and support workers to deliver a high standard and an excellent quality of care to service users. · The Manager will maintain the Statement of Purpose and Service User Guide for service users and report any changes to the Care Quality Commission CQC, Regional Managers, Human Resources, Clinical & Quality Director and Operational Director as appropriate. · The Manager will be required to undertake or delegate adhoc visits at night to ensure appropriate practice. · The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day smooth administrative operations of the Home. 2. Key Accountabilities • Staff Supervision • Ensure that each member of staff receives regular staff reviews in accordance with Company policy. • Provides day to day support to all Staff as required and in line with job descriptions relating to each post within the home. • Provides supervision as required to any other staff connected with or attached to the home as directed by the Operations Director. • Contributes to individual staff development by way of their formal supervision and in line with Company Training Strategies. • Identify priority training needs within the home in consultation with the Training and Human Resources Manager. • In consultation with the Operational Director, Regional Managers, and Training Manager ensure in house training programmes are supportive and complement Company Training Strategies for service delivery. • Oversee a shift rota system, ensuring the most effective use of staff to the benefit of smooth running of home. • Ensures and promotes effective and efficient communication throughout the organisation that will enhance high standards of quality care and support delivery. • Ensure that staff are also familiar with the professional, administrative and financial aspects of the establishment to ensure the delivery of care is value for money. 3. Care of Service Users • Promote and maintain a quality service in line with statutory requirements and Company guidelines, and ensure that all staff are familiar with and adhere to these requirements and guidelines. • Promote the creation and maintain an environment which has the capacity to respond to the service user’s individual needs. • Actively promote and maintain a close working partnership with relatives/relevant representatives and other significant people in the lives of service users, in order to promote their best interests. • Ensure that all service users are allocated Key Worker as appropriate and that either one will facilitate and attend meetings or reviews. • Ensure that staff is familiar with and adhere to care plans as agreed for service users. • Promote and maintain procedures, which, in line with Company policies will ensure involvement of service users in providing consent for care and that they are provided with the relevant support to make informed choices about care and treatment and ensure that professional assistance is sought where necessary and appropriate. • Ensure t
