Description

We are pleased to advertise for a Principal Psychologist to join our team.

Tasks & Responsibilities:-

To provide at a high level of expertise specialist clinical support to the Brain Injury Linkworker team.
To formulate and implement plans for Brain Injury Linkworker Service.
To be responsible for providing specialist neuropsychological perspective for the Brain Injury Linkworkers and HMPPS staff.
To assess the suitability of service users for BIL services.
To consult with and provide specialist neuropsychological guidance to the Brain Injury Linkworkers.
To be responsible for relevant data collection on work activities, as required, and to maintain a high standard of clinical record keeping.
To be responsible for promoting and implementing agreed developments in brain injury rehabilitation service provision on behalf of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust.
To support the clinical lead in collaboration with other senior staff, in the planning and development of services for our service users with acquired brain injury.
To remain informed of and critically evaluate current research to support evidence-based practice in own professional work and to contribute this perspective in BIRT services.
To provide advice to members of other professions as required on research design and method
To participate fully in supporting the activities of the clinical neuropsychology profession within the Trust, including attending relevant meetings.
To keep abreast of developments in Clinical Neuropsychology, particularly in the field of acquired brain injury and rehabilitation.
